Thanks dad, for giving Trevor and me the opportunity to share your last years with you and for allowing us finally to be able to give you the love and support you always showered over all of us. You spent your whole life caring for others, us when we were kids, nanny and then mum, so it was right that we should care for you when you needed it most. 
I told you your epitaph from me would be “ mind me feet” and you laughed. Your feet were the bain of my life dad! I spent hours and hours trying to find ways to protect your feet from the dreaded touch of everything, they were that sensitive. I don’t think we ever really succeeded did we. 

After seven and a half years the house feels strange without you. There is a piece of you in every room and I miss you.

You left us peacefully dad and can now spend forever with mum, something we all know you dreamed of. Say hello from us and give mum and Rod a hug.
